Truly an engaging writer. You never disappoint. I grin through everything of yours I have read. The casual observer must wonder what could illicit such a joyful emotion. I can't tell you. But its pleasing and painless.
Thank you so much for ALL of this. I am an avid fan and friend of Atl / Ga / Southeast Music and was first female producer and host of the The Peach Jam on 96 Rock, whilst on-air Friday afternoons at WRAS, from 1989-1992. When you write "you capture the sound on digital equipment as best you can. (Then you just hope the grid never goes down)" makes me happy that I am digitally archiving ALL my old air-checks, interviews and mixtapes and saving them on my proprietary 'taco' (my outboard hard drive - for you libidinous freaks reading this comment who are not in the know, hehe)
Thank you, Delia! 96 Rock was a big part of my childhood. I had the bumper sticker and everything. Glad to know you’re archiving your precious analog stuff. Keep rockin, sister.
Beautifully penned. Such great writing!
Thank you so much.
