Great read. Where in Sicily do the Luccheses hail from? Do you know?

Palermo. And Grazie.

Sam and his siblings were the first Luccheses to choose lives away from the boot business, which thrives (though under different ownership) to this day.

Amazing. The work ethic. My family came from towns surrounding Etna or Enna.

So many cultures flourishing there: Greek, Arabic, African, Nordic. No time or space to discriminate.

Grazzi assai, Frati.

What a fantastic mini-memoir. Beautiful writing, Robert, and very revealing. There is so much we don't ask our families when we are young and are left to try and unravel it when we are old. Sometimes those we didn't ask at the time leave us clues nonetheless.

Thank you. You’ll be glad to know I took a break from this to practice/practise some Rourke basslines.
